What's the color?

Well when deciding what colors to do the nursery it came pretty easy. I wanted to do neutral colors and Drew was on board with that. We decided on green and yellow and we kind of adopted green as the chose color for our little man. So here are some pictures of what the nursery looks like painted.

We both love the way that the nursery turned out.

I can't tell you how many baby blankets I have made for friends and family since I started crocheting. Well now it was my turn to make a blanket for our little man who will make his entrance in May. Here is the finished project and I love the way it turned out.

Long Trip!

Well I made it three weeks and two days without Drew. He left Thanksgiving day for Japan to do a survey for work. It is the longest period of time we have been apart since we have been married. I know both us were not looking forward to a long trip. I kept having to talk myself into liking the fact that he was going away. Telling myself that it is good for his career, which it is, and it was a great experience for him.

I am so grateful for everyone who kept me busy. My family has been great. My sister called many times to check on me and see how I was doing. My mom and mother-in-law kept me busy. Jillian went to my work Christmas party with me, which by the way was so much fun. Jillian has become such a good friend. My neighbors had me over for dinner and Melanie went out to eat one night with me. I also went out to dinner with Tara and Rachel. The Moultons had me over for dinner last Sunday which was so yummy. I'm sure there is a few things I forgot but I am so thankful for everyone who has been there to get me through these last few weeks.

Drew will be home for two weeks and leaving again for another three week trip, at least this one is in the country and he gets to come one weekend.

What was that?

Gas, nope definitely not. Our little boy has starting kicking this week. I was pretty sure I felt him kick me on Monday. Then on Wednesday I felt a flutter that I think was him. But tonight I am sure he has kicked. It wasn't just one kick it was multiple kicks and since it was in the same spot I'm sure it's what I felt. Very cool feeling for sure.

With Drew being in Japan I wanted to tell him and I tired calling him knowing he wouldn't be in computer range. He wasn't. As I started to type him an email he called me. I was happy to be able to let him know that his son was having a party in my belly tonight and I could feel it.

Feeling the first kicks is an awesome feeling and I know this little man is going to be quite active and I'm ready for it.

We are having a......

BOY! We are so excited. We found out Wednesday what are baby is. I had the feeling from the beginning that this little one was indeed a boy even though everyone told me they felt like it was a girl. Drew was convinced it was a boy but I wasn't sure if it was just because that was what he wanted.

So on Wednesday we had an ultrasound and the little guy was quite active and the technician was having a hard time getting pictures of him. We did get a good and clear shot to found out what the gender was. She was moving all over my stomach chasing him around. It was so cool and exciting to see him move. At one point while looking at his legs we saw him kick me. Multiple time we saw him moving his arms all around and keeping them close to his face. I couldn't have asked for better ultrasound. It was amazing to watch. I could have done that all day.

The doctor said he was very pleased with what he saw. Everything looked great from what he could see.

Sorry there are no pictures in this post. We got a new computer and Drew needs to set up the scanner to the computer. I'll post them when he returns from Japan.

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well it's not really looking much like Christmas other than when you walk into a store that is. Since Drew will be leaving Thanksgiving day and heading to Japan for three weeks and arriving home the Saturday before Christmas we have starting the decorating. I love to get the tree up and all the little things we have out. We usually don't start till the weekend of Thanksgiving but due to the circumstances we got started a few weeks earlier.

Phoebe checking out the tree.

Drew putting the lights on the tree.

Me putting on the ornaments.

Our Fireplace. There is still more that I want to do with this.

This is just the start of it. We haven't gotten everything out and put up/out. I love Christmas and can't wait till the season really gets started.
